Rumors aside, the owner of the world’s largest yacht is hedge fund manager Elena Ambrosiadou. There have been all kinds of rumors about the buyer and the sale price but Yacht Pals has disclosed the deal, believed to be worth $120 million. Ms. Ambrosiadou is the humble owner who prefers to call herself the “caretaker” of Mr. Perkins’ 289 foot luxurious boat fitted with the sophisticated sail system. The boat has a crew of 18 with six guest cabins, eight crew cabins, a gym and a sculpture of a vintage Bugatti racing car and on top of it a mini-submarine. The Maltese Falcon’s interior is as luxurious as you’d expect and I am sure it’s enough to call it the world’s largest and most luxurious sailing yacht, and that too with an owner.

Just to give you an idea of what this bauble is made of, consider the $136,000 price tag first. The one-of-a-kind tree decoration is made of 18-carat white gold and is plastered with over one and half thousand stunning diamonds. Surrounded by two incredible rings made of 18-carat fat gold wire, it features 188 red rubies that took a year to complete the designing and manufacturing. It was dreamed up by 38-year-old Mark Hussey, the owner of 30-year-old family business, Hallmark Jewelers. It is not always that we can express things like these in words but you gotta see it yourself to believe it.

Italian fashion label Prada, known for its originality that makes it the fashion powerhouse among the most influential fashion houses, has unveiled a 706-page tome that caps 30 years of innovations and experiments in fashion, art, architecture, cinema and communications. The book titled “Prada” was published by Prada Progetto Arte to illustrate all the aspects through which it expresses itself. Prada, which has gone beyond success in the fashion world, is selling the book in Prada stores worldwide, in selected bookstores and on prada.com for 100 Euros.

TAG Heuer, the Switzerland-based luxury brand known as the “avant-garde of watchmaking,” needs no introduction. Apart from manufacturing sports watches, TAG Heuer has announced the release of a new phone, dubbed TAG Heuer MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini. Inspired by the famous Italian sports car, the body is housed in black titanium carbide coated stainless steel, and the battery cover gets the famed signature that is found on the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 V12 engine block. The phone features include 28 hours of standby time, 7 hours talk time, 2-megapixel camera, music playback, 2GB, USB compatibility, 2 LCD screens, a web browser and built-in modem. Limited to the production of 1963 units to celebrate the year of the creation of the Italian carmaker, the phone will be available in November for $7500.
