# One set of scientists claim it’s global warming and another believes it is not, then a third group of scientists say we might be heading towards global cooling.
# Every set of experts have impressive credentials and statistical data to support their claims, but, these contradictory statements fail to bring out the truth.
# It’s emerging more like a battle of the experts, who seem to make their own ends meet – political or otherwise.
# However, we are witness to riverbeds drying up and the icecaps melting and it’s hard to ignore how our planet is responding to human activity.
# The dilemma still continues whether global warming is a myth or earth’s way to respond to external stimuli. What do you say?

Whatever it is - be it warming or cooling - it is a fact that the nature is going to be punish human beings hard in coming days.

Avadhut said it correct, we humans have done a lot against nature and now nature would punish us. Global warming and global cooling, both are dangerous for the existence of earth.
How can you insist that global warming is a myth? Aint you able to feel it by seeing decreasing level of rivers in mountainous areas?
Of course there is an equal danger of global cooling. China has experienced its deadliest winter in a century. Canada, Siberia and Mongolia are facing the similar climate that can't be said as global warming.

We are damaging our own planet, our home, our environment. The time is running out fast. It will be too late if we took much time in becoming 'selfless' because by that time the Arctic won't be more 'shelf less' then.

Canada, Northern part of Russia and arctic area are the worst affected part of global cooling. China also felt it now.
Yes Global warming is just a myth. The last time when the sun had become inactive, the planet had suffered the little ice age and it ended in 1850 after about five centuries. This time it will go upto 10 centuries and destroy the species and crops across the world.
Let the experts fight, just invest time in saving environment to protect the earth. Its everyone's duty.

Global warming is a reality. It is the result of man’s abuse, misuse and overuse of the natural resources of the world.
Experts are simply guides who tell us the veracity of the damage. But before our very eyes, we see the products of environmental degradation and the scarcity of resources.
Anyone who says global warming is a myth is not a human being. Maybe, he belongs to the lowest kind of animals, where he is not endowed by rationality and intelligence.

I do agree with what Maynard has written here. How can one deny that there is no global warming by advocating the concept of global cooling?
Global warming is a reality...look around you, if you see how our seasons have changed...places which did not have rainfall for years, are witnessing floods, summer is becoming unbearably hot...we would be fools to think that it is a myth.
What I get from the question is something different from what others are getting. I think the author is asking - Is global warming a myth and global cooling a reality? No one is putting question against global warming. People are discussing global warming more than global cooling but both are dangerous for us.
I would prefer to repeat what Avadhut from India has written here and repeated by Sweta and Hemant. Excess warming and excess cooling both are dangerous.
Don't call it a myth. Countries are investing millions of dollars to restrict global warming. Come to Maldives, I will show you the impact of global warming in rising sea levels. We are living in dying islands.

Global temperatures are maintained by oceanic currents and oceanographers will say that ocean current patterns change with time. It has happened before and it will happen again. The polar caps will melt first submerging many coastal nations. This has perhaps begun already and we can see a noticeable rise in global temperatures. However, this is a sure shot sign that we are advancing towards Ice Age now.

This is a rich countries problem. What can Bangladesh or Maldives or Sri Lanka do? They are waiting for doom.
Myth?? You mean earth is getting hotter by itself? Is it closing in to the sun? You must be kidding. Haven't you heard of Greenhouse Effect? Oh God! This is a dangerous debate to have. Will pollute the minds of people.
First prove that GW is caused by greenhouse emissions. Then we can proceed from there. So far both theories are contested.
People who say this is a myth are US agents. US is the world's main culprit for global warming.
