Has the Nazi atrocity on Jews avoided Israel’s criticism for its actions in Palestine?
# The next UN investigator into Israel conduct in the occupied territories has stood by comments comparing Israeli actions in Gaza to those of the Nazis.

# The treatment of Palestinians resembles the Nazi record of collective atrocity - the massive Israeli punishment directed at the entire population of Gaza.

# Reluctance to criticize Israel is based on the particular historical sensitivity of the Jewish people, and a pattern of criminality associated with Israeli policies in Gaza has actually been supported by the leading democracies of the 21st century.

# Israel wants the UN investigator’s mandate to be changed and also to look into human rights violations by the Palestinians as well as Israel or else the Israeli government may consider barring entry to the new UN investigator.

I've failed to understand what is this and what are you talking about? Linking Israel, UN, Gaza, Philistine and Nazi thought everything in a short article. Israeli actions in Gaza as Nazism? Un investigator has lost sense it seems.

The US backed Israel should also be named a terrorist country for they are also inflicting terror and violence on Palestinians for years now. this should not come as surprise to world that there is suicide blast in Israel for no reason. Palestinians are blowing themselves up because there is something seriously wrong. Encroaching on other's land will not get let them go so easily...this is what Indian Army is doing in kashmir because Pakistan has encouroached on some parts of Indian land.

this is really disgusting for the world to remain lip tight on such a key issue of Israel (the country that got its origin at the mercy of these inhabitants is killing them now) how far will this go?

This historical baggage for some reason gives Israelis some leverage over the key issue of inflicting terror. the Israelis are drug addicts and they kill innocent people...yes they are terrorists supported by the bigger terrorist US.

The UN investigator is right to point that out and i pay all respect to him for not hiding anything for himself being a Jew.

Intentions, whether good or bad, cannot lay unconscious and undetected for too long. What Israel is doing right now in the open is what it has been doing for decades in diplomatic cover.

The only bit of surprise here is that this move is very unexpected. I mean, are the Israeli diplomats busy holidaying? Why else would Israel resort to such blunt mandates, when the whole world knows that the best weapon in Israel’s arsenal is those cunning diplomats, who have been altering the course of all this ho-hum since decades, and have the knack of emerging victorious in blindfolding the big nations, including the UN, and making them sway their way.

Maybe Israel was waiting for the right moment to break the ice and jump into the open, declaring its true intentions.

Anyway, I’m not a political analyst, so I don’t want to go deep into the matter and make myself a soft target for ridicule. But, as a layman, I still back my words.

Definitely yes. The creation of Israel was because of the spin the Zionists were successful in spreading the rumor that a lot of Jews were killed by Hitler. While it is true that the Nazis did persecute the Jews sporadically and sent criminals of Jewish origins along with their families (sometimes they included children and the frail), it was given the image of what we now know as the Holocaust. While one cannot deny that many Jews suffered because of Nazi persecution the figures we see of victims of the so-called Holocaust is nothing short of fantastic.

The historical truth is that Christians have been persecuting the Jews for centuries. They were displaced from their original homelands in the middle east by Pharaohs and Kings and displaced them for which they got scattered all over. The Israelis are doing exactly the same thing to the Palestinians now. They are just talking sadistic pleasure out of the plight they are inflicting on them and all for historical reasons.

Yes, world is trying to make up of its indifference towards Jews during II World War, by being indifferent to the plight of Palestinians now. Can anybody tell them that two bad never makes good? Or again time will tell the future generations that injustice has always been an integral part of world affairs?

Richard Falk has a point. Seeing what Israel is doing in Gaza brings back memories of the days when Jews were forced to live in Ghettos. Deep inside every Israeli there is this evil of Nazi wrongdoing against them that saves them from the guilt factor they might feel at times seeing the inhuman treatment the poor Palestinians are receiving from their hands. Richard Falk is a very strong man to have equated Israeli actions against Palestinians to that of Nazis. He showed some real courage out there, hasn't he?

it is absolutely rubbish to compare israelis with nazis.. the israelis know more than any other people on earth what suffering is.. what terrorism is.. what displacement is..

I do not think there will be an Israel for you to ”one day make it my home.”

Israel has got no more than twenty years left, go now and enjoy it while you got it.

YES! Israelis should once again look at what the Nazis did to Jews; then they should look hard at what they are doing to the Palestinians. They will find no difference.

The most cunning politicians I have seen are the ones from India. They take land from Pakistan and claim that the opposite is occuring.
