Driving age limit should be lowered
YES # Children grow up according to the conditions they are living in and in this modern and competitive world our children are maturing and developing faster. So, there’s no harm in giving them the wheels.
# A person should be allowed to take the driving test at any age and if he passes the conditions of driving assessment, he should be given the DL.
NO # Studies of driver attitudes show young motorists are more likely to drive for the pleasure of thrill-seeking, and feelings of pride, power and confidence.
# Road crashes are the biggest killer of those aged 15 to 24, with 23 young drivers and passengers killed or seriously injured every day.
# Recent research has shown that young drivers’ brains are ‘too immature’ to drive safely.

Oh yes, definitely. I look at myself and then my teenager kids...we look almost the same; well it’s even worse…they look more mature than me ;-) I think they can drive better than me but I feel very sorry thinking they’ve lost the essential part of their life - childhood. Thanks to adult shows on TV, computers, Internet etc. I don’t dare call them kid actually.

lowering the driving age limits- How would this be more effective than the current age laws?

If your children make you feel the same as them...you may be isolating yourself from others, which is a sign of depression. And if this is accompanied by falling appetite, extreme weight loss or gain, sleep problems or a sudden change in friends or mood, you should speak with your doctor or a psychiatrist.

Giving teenagers the chance to drive on the roads is a very responsible decision. Psychologically teenagers are growing very quickly these days but they stand at the crossroads between being a kid who likes to play football and ride bikes with friends and a teen who wants an iPod and to grow his hair long. We see physical and behavioral changes that would have been typical of teenagers decades ago but are now common among ”tweens” — kids ages 8 to 12. Some of them are going on ”dates” and talking on their own cell phones. They listen to sexually charged pop music, play mature-rated video games and spend time gossiping on Internet. And more girls are wearing makeup and clothing that some consider beyond their years.

What do we get outa this bobble? Definitely we feel like these kids are growing up faster — and are not sure if it’s always a good thing. I am still on the NO side.

When we can trust kids for not stealing from their parents’ lockers and pockets, when we can trust them for not having sexual acts before the desired age…why not driving? I think it should depend on the driving tests not the age limit. If they fail the test then no, but otherwise I think it would be a good idea to have people take these responsibilities earlier. I think something decent should be made for the young kids in this system and the people who complain about rowdy kids should do something.

Yes we should lower the age and invent a smaller car that don’t exceed certain speed limits. that will be safe for kids as well as others on the road. why should elders have all the fun?

cheers!! now teenagers can actually pick up older chicks and also allow them to drink that will make a perfect cocktail for the furious roads in future.

i agree... age does not really matter... what matters is matureness... u can be mature at 15 and some never really take it seriously. you must have heard of George Bush.

This is not at all a great idea. Inturn this will lead to more and more accidents. You being careful while driving is not enough, the opposite person should also drive properly, keeping the rules and regulations in mind. Teenagers drive very fast just for fun. So, once the teenagers enter roads they just go crazy. Save your as well as other’s lives by not letting these young riders onto the roads.

Thanks and Regards,

It won’t affect in a big way as age actually doesn’t matter in such cases but the attitude of the one who has the steering wheel in hand....

@ Ujjawal....the issue is the age!
