# Number of converts to Islam are on the rise in the West.
# Religious converts are playing an increasingly influential role in Islamic militant networks.
# Religious converts considered prone to radicalization.
# Converts less likely to attract police scrutiny.
Is it adventurism which attracts the ‘Western rebel’ to radical Islam or rejection of western moral values that makes one embrace it?

If the West is coming to Islam, its because they are frustrated and disillusioned with their life style, culture, and at times with faith, and not because radicalism appeals to them. Most of the people who come to Islam in the West embrace it only after deep study of the religion and not accept it for mare favour of some sorts; as often happens when mass conversion to other religion takes place.

It is militant Islam not radical one. Moreover, the West is reeling under Islamophobia. Even the population growth, which is zero to minus in most of the European countries, leading to import labour from other countries lead to substantiate the complex of the western societies. Little wonder, the majority of the unskilled labour, in demand, hail from the Muslim countries. This phenomenon of International migration is not new. The international borders will become more and more impermeable. It is natural. It is like in science where all these molecules from unsaturated try to enter saturated. Unfortunately, In Islam there is no room for reforms. And The Christians are also too rigid as far as their religious dogmas are concerned.

To infuse passion where there is even a spark of fire, fueled by the adrenalin pump for adventure is not difficult at all. Missionary religion aims at getting more and more converts…
As values change, sometimes even the atheist is drawn to the thrill of ‘what is not right.’ NOTORIETY to some might mean a shortcut to popularity or a means to get back at a system that has taken all.
However, the reason for such fame or deep discontent breeds within the social fabric of a country.

It is not that West is coming to Islam, because they wanna go on an adventurous sojourn...
Neither, it is the case of Islam intending to attract the Westerners...
The reason which i see for ’religious converts’ to Islam is because of the fact that West is moving towards Spiritualism and where Christianity is on the verge of extinction (reasons known*), Westerners are seeing Islam and even other religions as their ’way of redemption to lost faith’....

Mass Religious conversions usually happen as they offer people with some alluring favors! However, that is not the case with ’the Westerners moving towards other faiths (in this case Islam)’. Their search for a spiritual base make them adopt and convert to Islam or other religions.
Take for instance-Richard Gere-true, that he hasn’t adopted Islam but Buddhism...but the crux remains the same. They haven’t been offered anything other then a stronger religious foothold called ’faith’...which is the only left ray of hope for the tumbling Western culture!

In defiance of the war on terrorism, Radical Islam has an appeal of its own for those not able to make their way up in an aggressively materialistic society.
One needs to take a closer look at the number of people in the West converting to Islam, and probe why some of them end up with terrorist cells.
Surely its no adventurism to become a defiantly iconic Osama Bin Laden that attracts the rebel towards Islam.
There is a disconnect somewhere.
Living in an orderly democratic society, there is something more than that which wants these coverts to bring down this order and place Islam there.
Many have failed to catch up in a materialistic world and Christian mythology and principles are under attack from within.
A defiant Islam is a backlash of the crusades to contain this fast expanding religion. Clash of values and civilizations is inevitable.
Destroying the World Trade Towers, the symbol of American capitalistic strength has forever changed the theatre of international politics.
America’s political and economic power is stretched and is on the wane.
Six year after World Trade Tower, Bin Laden is still wanted dead or alive.
Radical Islam withstanding the might of the almighty West does hold an appeal like the one that poet Milton did portray in ‘Paradise Lost’ about Satan having raised a legion and rebelled against the might and tyranny of God.
