# Muslim religious scholars from all over India are meeting at a leading Islamic school to discuss issues related to terrorism.
# Madrassas are an important issue in education and development in the Muslim world.
# Since madrassas don’t teach English or Science, it risks its students to become complete misfits in modern society.

Most madrassas are moderate institutions, providing much needed education and board and lodgings for poorer students. The Koran is studied intensively but there are some idiots sitting in WH and DS who have indeed done their best to prove that terror breeding grounds are the Islamic schools. i don't see any reason why should madrassas be the target of anti terror operations.

To say that the madrassas are the sole nurseries of terrorists will be grossly skewed opinion. Madrassas are their for a good purpose where young pupils who otherwise can't afford education go to learn something. Terrorists take advantage of this by funding the madrassas and in return putting their ideological brainwashers as teachers who radicalize the impressionable minds making them terrorists.
The congregation of Islamic scholars will do a world of good if they can decide collectively what a viable solution could be to end young people taking to terrorism.

Dont blame madrassas education - majority of 75 terrorists who carried out the most significant recent terrorist attacks are college-educated and graduates in technical subjects. 53 percent of the terrorists had received college degrees and only 52 percent of Americans attend college. So, it is crystal clear that on average, terrorists are as well educated as many Americans. Where is the role of madrassas?

Madrasas not only teach science but quite a few of them have English teaching classes and computer labs in Pakistan.
