Heh! This could actually be a good thing!

Russia and China are already talking about partnering up for the moon. If NASA and the UK do as well, we could have ourselves and unofficial space race!

This would probably serve the world much better than the current diplomatic macho wars between the differing civilizations (eastern and western).
