Making??? It has already made it the worst. The USA has ruined the country and exploiting its resources now. It wants its permanent base in middle-east, particularly in Iraq to check Iran but it is not possible. Iraqis are suffering badly.

What do you think, the situation will go under control when the US army go out of Iraq? It can never happen and it will create complete chaos in Iraq. Without the presence of US army, you can't just imagine the restoration of peace here.

No No, let them stay in Iraq for 10 more years. They have spent $240-bn on resetting the army's forces and replacing or repairing war damaged equipments. As on March 17, 2008, at least 3,990 US soldiers have died in Iraq since March 2003. Let the count go up. One day, the US army units in Iraq would revolt against their bosses in White House. Just wait for the day.

The problem with US administration is that they can't changed or replace the units serving in Iraq because it is next to impossible to understand the local problems. The other fact is that the army is tired but it has comported itself extremely well. It has learned and achieved over time. Its up to Iraqi people how they cooperate with US army to establish peace in the country.

US troops are not making things worse in Iraq but Iraq is making it worse for US troops. More than 3,000 current and retired military officers of the rank of major believe that the US military is not that much strong it was five years ago. Eighty-eight per cent of them have said that the Iraq war has made it weak.

Iraq is facing the worst humanitarian crisis and Us military invasion is the single reason of the problem. Several Iraqi people are still lacking basic sanitation and the healthcare is expensive and in worse shape than ever.

In the past five years the life of a common Iraqis have been destroyed badly. It has even changed the United States’ view of itself and has its impact on the whole Middle East region. Iraq is one step away from civil war and soaring violence. Was it all George Bush wanted to see in Iraq?

Despite the presence of US military, people killed in violence never been properly identified. It is complete mess in main cities across Iraq. The presence of US army is unacceptable for extremist groups working in Iraq. the sectoral violence is also making the life of general Iraqis hell.

The U.S. intervention in Iraq has a global impact. Terrorism among Iraqis is reduced and Iraqi officials are safer compared to simply moving about on their own.

Although the U.S. presence can not be forever in Iraq, still the American troops play a crucial role in the security of Iraqis as a whole.

Violence in Iraq is caused by bombings of militant groups wanting to show destructive forces. Without the U.S. in the region, more Iraqis will be abused and killed.

ofcourse it has, the U.S’s war mongering has failed in Vietnam, Afghanistan and now Iraq. It is just a matter of time before Iraq becomes one more Vietnam. And why the hell did the U.S invade Iraq? Did they ever find the WMD that they were after? No is the emphatic answer and the real reason for the U.S to get into war mode or the so called ”War on Terror” was to drive the fast sinking U.S Economy which depends heavily on it’s armament factories, factories of death, to keep the failing U.S economy afloat. Tomorrow it will be Iran, the Day after, who knows, even Sri Lanka. The very myopic United States just doesn’t learn from it’s mistakes and someday the U.S might even self destruct like the erstwhile USSR. At this rate, the U.S is becoming a time bomb about to explode.

Americans are losing its control over Iraq. They have failed to find weapons of mass destruction, they had no serious plan for post-war scenario in Iraq, the disbanding of the Iraqi army was a wrong step because it might have given in fighting the insurgency and the total lack of the effective counterinsurgency strategy has worsen the condition here.

I agree that US army is making things worse in Iraq. I am Iraqi living in Iran since past ten years. AND I am thankful to Bush he freed us from Saddam's misrule. With America the whole western media came to know how traumatized Iraqis were by Saddam's brutality. The inner workings of the merciless machinery was horrible, which transported victims to torture chambers and mass graves frequently. Saddam is history now and this is our own responsibility to make things correct.

Always to blame US? Why? Now, Iraqi political groups and social groups should come forward to take care of their own nation without fear because there is no Saddam now. US army can't give them elected government and good governance.

US administration and military can give a better roadmap to Iraqi political parties. Iraqis, with the help of US troops present in Iraq to stiffen the new Iraqi forces and to restrict any civil war, should transform the country.

It has been a saga of suppression, brutality and inhuman treatment meted out to Iraqis mixed with the voracity for the oil and indisputable power stature; US troops are certainly worsening the things out there in Iraq. In name of restoring normalcy, they have shattered the law and order in the country. Now, it’s the high time for US to pack up and vacate Iraq’s soil. Their might is already crumbling under the pressure of native resentment.

No way. The mistake was committed in 2003 when the US invaded Iraq. Withdrawing them would be an even bigger mistake.

Iraq is holding together today only because of the ’glue’ of US troops.

It is but clear that surge has worked. The violence levels have come down despite what detractors may say. The war was a big mistake in the first place but troops have gradually made a difference. Immediate pullout is not a possibility and will be a grave mistake with horrendous consequences.

Unfortunately troops alone can do little. A sustained military effort must be backed with a constant political dialog to resolve differences and introduce a self sustainable regime. That’s where the Iraq experience has been a complete failure. Had Bush & Co. given more thought to the bureaucratic process than brute force, no one would have claimed that troops have been a failure.
